mitchamkorfball.co.uk are pleased to announce that current senior England International, Stephanie Allen will be transferring to Mitcham Korfball Club from Haven Sports Korfball League rivals Norwich Knights.
Mitcham's chairwoman, Emma Germain said: “At MKC we are always open and welcoming to players of any ability. I am pleased to be transferring Steph to our club, and feel certain she will thrive within our competitive but supportive squad”
“I'm looking forward to a new challenge and time to dedicate to playing” the 26-year-old told mitchamkorfball.co.uk on Tuesday evening. While at Norwich Knights Allen also held the head coaches role in addition to her playing commitments, guiding the team to their highest league position in their history.
Ms Allen brings with her a wealth of talent and experience. Allen will join Mitcham's squad members at pre-season training over the summer, ready for the 2011/12 season in the autumn.
The official transfer request will be submitted to the England Korfball Association in the coming days with the process expected to complete within a couple of weeks.
